Birthday Balloon

Some days, it's just a fight to get anything done in the ol' craft room.  Seriously, it took me over an hour to get today's card made; I started something completely different, played around with it a bit, and even glued something down before I trashed the whole thing and started over with just the Tangerine Tango balloon I had cut out.  And then finally I got to here:

Which I kinda like.  I picked some bright colors that I thought would go well with Tangerine Tango (Cucumber Crush and Bermuda Bay) and then put all of 'em on a black card base to make it all pop.  For the streamers, since this is a photopolymer set I was able to scrunch it up a bit when I did the Bermuda Bay one so it doesn't look like an exact replica of the Cucumber Crush one.

This week's Global Design Project challenge is to party like it's 1999:

Maybe I should do a purple card in honor of Prince.  Or I could just jam to the song when I go back down to my craft room.  (Fun fact:  when I was six years old, my favorite song in the world was Raspberry Beret.  I'm sure that my parents thought it was hilarious that I had No Clue what Prince was singing about, I just liked the beat.)  I'm hoping that the scrapbook pages I plan to work on next are a bit less hassle.  And you know what?  Those ARE going to be purple!

Cheers, y'all!
