A fabulous teapot planter colored with markers for a nice effect...
Put a couple of these together very quickly for my cohosts when I did a Mad Tea Party a few years ago.
Also features Swallowtail |
The thank you tag is also from today's set, and of course you recognize Swallowtail. Who doesn't love that one!
So here is today's brand new creation:
I just loved the sketch from Fab Friday today so I had to use it:
And I'm also entering this over at Retro Rubber:
I have approximately 7 gabillion brads in different colors, and given that I jabbed myself under the fingernail with one while working on my card I remember why I was so happy to switch to Candy Dots. But perhaps I should do this challenge lots more times to whittle down my brad stash a bit? Anyway, in the spirit of retro-ness, Tea Party came out in 2013 and I had to have it immediately so it's 3 years old. The brads are older than that :)
Well, the hubs is here and wants to go out to dinner, so who can say no to that. Cheers, peeps!
Supplies, last card only:
Stamps: Tea Party
Ink: Always Artichoke
Paper: So Saffron, Thick Whisper White, Tea & Crumpets DSP
Accessories: Ovals & Labels Collection Framelits, Rich Regals Brads, Dimensionals
I had to have this stamp set as well and truly loved making lots of cards with it. Your card is so sweet and I had to laugh at your comment about why you were happy to switch over to candy dots! I sure loved them coming out as well so I didn't have to guess where to make the hole for the brad! I always love the stroll down your stamping "memory lane" and hope you will be back in our gallery soon.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! And with such pretty papers! Love the brads, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe tea cup image as well as the DSP gives such a vintage feel to this card. Reminds me of my grandmother's parlor. And the brads are perfect with this design. Thanks for including Retro Rubber in your stamping fun this week. Love seeing you in our gallery!
ReplyDeleteHi Christy, love all of your cards, but especially love the teacup one. Love the vintage look and the soft colors. Thanks for playing along with Retro Rubber.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful stamp set, I'm so sad I missed out on it.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely, very vintage and so feminine in those colors.
Thank you for playing along with us at Retro Rubber, hope you join us again soon.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
Getting caught up on my posts. I really like that lacy border under the sentiment. It looks like a doily or table runner -- or lacy tablecloth. Nice.
ReplyDeleteI lol'd at your comment about brads! I went thru an obsessive period and bought them like crazy - eyelets too. And there they sit! But I am super happy that you braved the danger and played along with us anyway! Your new card is beautiful - with such soft papers! Thanks for playing along with Retro Rubber!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Christy! I Iove the vintage feel of this. I agree with you about the stamp set its one I really enjoy as well. I really like the background paper you choose and the accent of the brads. Thank you so much for joining us at Retro Rubber:)
ReplyDeleteVery sweet card! The soft colors and toned down stripes on the DSP make me think of a spring tea party out in the garden! Great image to use as well for the smaller panel on our sketch. Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
ReplyDeleteThe oval looks great on that tag die cut! I love the pastel colors for the tea party theme also. Thanks for playing at Fab Friday!
