Quick Otter

Hey y'all!  I'm enjoying a few last quiet hours here and I made a quick card to share on this rainy afternoon.  Good thing I took Daphne out for a walk while it was nice and sunny earlier.

I don't know why the Otterly Amazing stamp and die bundle is on the Last Chance List but the DSP is not, but I love this DSP so I'll just be happy about it.  I used the Hand-Stamped Sentiments sketch:

And the As You See It theme challenge:

It took me longer to decide on all the parts and pieces for my card and get them ready on my table than it did to actually make the card, and here's what I clocked in at:

I was about to rifle through my embellies when I checked the time, squeaked, and stopped the clock while I was ahead.  But after I took the picture of the card, I did have to add some pearls:

It was okay without the pearls but I like it with.  But the pearl-less card is what is getting entered at AYSI : )

That's it for today, peeps!  I think I might start a scrapbook layout now.  Cheers!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Otterly Amazing
Ink:  Pretty Peacock
Paper:  Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Pretty Peacock, Thick Basic White, Otterly Adorable DSP
Accessories:  Layering Circles dies, Dimensionals, Riverside Irregular Pearls

  1. Yay for the otters! I hadn't noticed that one was on the last-chance list but not the other either (I must be honest, I've lost the plot on what's current and what's not lately!!) Such a great mix of papers for the layers on your card Christy - thanks for embracing our speed challenge this week over at As You See It! Oh and the pearls look great to finish too too ;-)

  2. Phew - you squeaked in under the wire there! I really like that sketch and it let the paper do most of the work which is even better. When I'm doing the speed challenge I have my embellishments out ready but on the understanding with myself that I might not get time to put them on! They were a good post-timing addition. Thanks for joining in with us again at The Paper Players.

  3. That's a fab card Christy and you definitely made full use of the time, with just 2 seconds to spare - it does get the pulses racing, doesn't it? Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It

  5. I love the otters, and I'm sad to see it go so soon, but I love how you've used the DSP here to make this engaging speed challenge card! Just an otter doing what he "otter" do! (Sorry!) I love how you've used that layout! Thanks for playing our speed challenge at As You See It !
