So, my lil bro's birthday was on Sunday and I'm a bad big sis and didn't make his card until today. But I think he'll like it when he gets it:
It will include a gift card for a home improvement store (I can say that here, because if he's even aware that I have a stamping blog, I am still mortally certain my brother doesn't read this). Anyway, he's always working on fixing up things around his house and the fleet of cars that he and his wife own. (Not joking.) I got Totally Tool right before it retired, figuring it would come in useful for making MAN cards, and this is its maiden voyage. Should I even call it maiden? Anyway, here's its premiere performance. Originally each of the tools was paired with a sentiment, but I cut apart the images and sentiments so I could use 'em however I wanted.
This fantabulous masculine color combo is courtesy of Colour Me...!
Couldn't be more perfect for my brother, orange and blue are his favorite colors. Even the gift card I got is blue and gray so this all coordinates. Yay me.
Cheers, peeps!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Totally Tool (retired)
Ink: Basic Gray, Night of Navy, Smoky Slate, Tangelo Twist
Paper: Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist, Whisper White, I Am Me DSP (retired)
Accessories: Deco Labels & Circles Framelits, Arrows EF, Dimensionals
I LIKE IT!!! And I'm sure he will, too. Great job, Chris!
ReplyDeleteWell done for combining the card theme with the gift card, and the colours too, works brilliantly for a male card. Thanks for joining us at Colour Me...!

Great card! Colors match so nicely with the handyman theme. Thanks so much for joining us at Colour Me....! this week and hope to see you again soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat masculine card Chris! I love the way your embossing echoes the patterned paper and the sentiment made me chuckle - my husband would totally agree with this, judging by his bulging toolshed! I'm sure your brother will love it. Thanks for playing along again over at Colour Me...! this week.
