Happy Sunday, y'all! Did you like Ann's food challenge last week for The Paper Players? We're back again and this week LeAnne has a fun sketch for us:
I decided right off that this sketch would be a great way to showcase some patterned paper, but none of my recent purchases were speaking to me and for some reason I really wanted to do bright colors. Last year's Friends of the Ocean DSP was exactly what I needed, and here's what I made:
I went through the scraps first and immediately picked that piece in the top left, and as it happened the Pumpkin Pie pattern is the flip side of it. The lobster was die cut from another pattern because that was easy and I layered it on some seaweed die cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added a bit of ink for shading. The only stamping is the greeting from the coordinating Ocean Friends stamp set.
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Ocean Friends
Ink: Summer Splash, Lemon Lime Twist
Paper: Summer Splash, Lemon Lime Twist, Thick Basic White, Friends of the Ocean DSP
Accessories: Ocean Friends dies, Rectangles Stitched dies, Stitched Shapes dies, Dimensionals, Sunny Day Iridescent Dots

Nice bright colors and this cute card
Christy, I love this bright, happy card. The colors are amazing! That big lobster steals the show. This card would make anyone smile! You rocked this sketch, My Friend!
I always giggle when I see a lobster or octopus on a card---they're so out of my comfort zone, but they are so cool and I love that they're not out of yours!!! I love the bright colors and seashore vibe you have going here! Thanks for rocking my sketch!
I never bought this set but it is fantastic. I like the bright colours and sense of joy they bring. Nice embellishment placement too. Thanks for showing us that a lobster can be fun. :-)
Christy, those bright colors are so gorgeous, great pick for using this sketch! The lobster and seaweed are very cool too. Really wonderful take on the sketch!
I love brights so this card is right in my wheelhouse with that fab DSP panel - and the lobster is the perfect focal point. Gorgeous!
Christy, what a great take on the challenge. I love the bright colors and that fabulous lobster! What a great use of this DSP

Absolutely gorgeous colors, Christy! It's great to see the bright and beautiful Summer Splash being used as your card base. I love how you let the paper do the work. The lobster is a fun focal point. This card will brighten up someone's mailbox for sure.
