Mornin' y'all! Happy Friday! I didn't get much time in my craft room yesterday since I was out at the soccer fields all morning, but I did make a card to share today:
I just discovered that I've only used Sweet Ice Cream ONE TIME before this, how is that possible?! It's so cute! Anyway, check out the Retro Rubber Challenges sketch:
Sweet Ice Cream is 4 years old, and the greeting is from a Paper Pumpkin kit and who knows how old that is, but I'm sure it's over a year. I really wasn't sure what to do with this sketch until the Inspired By... challenge popped up yesterday:
And I thought YESSSS I can work with that! The coaches gave all the kids these popsicles yesterday at soccer practice only they called them Otter Pops, not freezies or popsicles. Maybe that's one of those regional things as to what they're called? Anyway, I liked the bright colors and the icy theme so I went with Azure Afternoon, Strawberry Slush, Peach Pie, and Gorgeous Grape for my colors.
We get to have a nice, leisurely morning today and Ryan's only activity is a baseball game in the late afternoon. Need to take Daphne for a walk and go to the grocery store though and I should be getting multiple Nancy Drew books in the mail today : ) Hoping I get to do some crafting today and I need to mail out my dad's Father's Day card. Cheers!

LOVE this, Christy - this is still one of my favorite ice cream sets, lol - and so perfect for the start of summer! Thanks so much for playing at Retro Rubber!
I love the color of the popsicle! Looks great! I'm struggling with our 98* weather. :p
On the kiddo's popsicles, google Otter Pops. It's like kleenex instead of tissue. That was the only plastic tube popsicle I ever saw as a kid. They sold the double stick kind and the kind you stamped, but plastic tubes were called Otter Pops. The tube helps contain the mess and they must have been a lot cheaper too. They used to have a little paragraph about each character/flavor on the box, now it just shows some on the tube, regardless of the flavor you have. But their stories are all online, ha! Who knew?? Tho online it shows a white plastic tube like a gogurt, and ours are clear....?
Yummy card with a great use of the sketch! Thank you so much for joining us at Retro Rubber, please come again!
