A Lucky Sketch for The Paper Players

Happy Sunday, y'all, and that means it's time for a new Paper Players challenge!  Check out this wonderful sketch from Jaydee:

I personally don't like making slimline cards (I know, I'm weird) so I modified the sketch for a standard A2 card and here's what I made:

Ryan asked why I made a St. Patrick's Day card when we haven't even gotten to Valentine's Day yet and the answer is I'm a rebel and I do what I want, and also this rainbow paper popped into my head one night as I was settling down to sleep and I just had to make it.  I did think about snowflakes or hearts or teacups, but the shamrocks and rainbow background won out this time.  I added some gold accents for the lucky leprechaun who gets this card in the mail.  I used Shaded Spruce ink for the darker shamrocks, which are showing up darker in the photo than they do IRL, they're lovely dark green.  I think I inked up my Shaded Spruce ink pad in the not so distant past so it's stamping extra dark at the moment.

Check out the other design team creations on the Paper Players blog, or you can hop through their individual blogs:

Oh my gosh! I don't think a St. Patrick's Day card could get any better, Christy! The colorful paper was the perfect choice for the backdrop. Combine that with a snippet of sparkly gold paper and gold embellies, and the end result is fabulous. It will brighten any leprechaun's day. Have a wonderful week! Stay safe and warm!

Ha! I don't like making slimline cards either - too much trouble to get a nice envelope! The bright background is fun all on its own and the intricate shamrocks are little stunners. :-)
