Mornin' y'all! It is time once again for a new Paper Players challenge, and this week the lovely and talented Claire has a sketch for us:
One of the stamp sets that I got out for last week's CAS floral challenge was Desert Details, and since I didn't use it for that challenge I just had to use it for this sketch. Here's what I made:
I used both the Delicate Desert DSP and the Dry Brushed Metallic specialty paper for this, I think it's the first time I cut into the specialty paper. I added some brushed metallic dots to bring the gold over and draw the eye toward the greeting on my desert landscape backdrop. For the "anything goes" strip, I combined one of the stamps that's a long, thin pattern and a die on a scrap of the same paper I used for the background (it's a bit I cut off the top that's just a little bit Soft Succulent colored). And just because I like sparkle, I added Wink of Stella to the largest flower.

Christy, this is so pretty. I love the desert and the subtle colors This DSP is fab. I need to check it out. Your anything goes panel is perfect! Thank you for making my sketch shine! Have a great week, My Friend!
This is lovely, Christy! A great take on the sketch and I love the desert background uniquely paired with the sunshine sentiment. The metallic paper is gorgeous.
What a stunning way to use these papers, Christy! And that sentiment--how fun is that? Love it!
Such a beautiful card, Christy! Desert Details is one of my faves. The mix of papers and colors is gorgeous. I LOVE the sentiment. Have a wonderful week!
Those warm colours really match up with your sentiment. The mix of patterns and textures is really pretty. Big tick for perfect embellishment placement too. :-)
ohh so pretty!! Great use of all the things!
I loved this suite and may or may not have hoarded it...
This is just lovely Christy - one of those cards where all of the elements really come together to make the card. All of the elements look great on their own, but they combine to make something really next level. Gorgeous!
Christy, the first thing that caught my eye was the large succulent flower but then I saw that wonderful sentiment and it's really a great one! All the colors in the papers are so pretty and definitely covey desert vibes. So lovely!
Another great sentiment, Christy. I love the way you have mixed the DSPs. There's a strong Arizona feel to the colors and I love that. Fabulous card
