Mornin' y'all! I'm looking at the snowdrift that reappeared in my backyard on Tuesday but in my craft room it's definitely springtime. I've got a CAS card to share this morning.
I dusted off an old retired stamp set for the Retro Rubber Challenge:
Butterfly Wishes is 6 years old, so nice and retro for this challenge. I went down the right side with die cut - flowers - heat embossing. I had to try a couple of things for the embossing part; I tried white EP on a Soft Sea Foam strip and it didn't show up at all, so I did Garden Green ink. Then I remembered my old favorite Iridescent Ice embossing powder so I tried that just on the flower centers but then decided to go all in and coat the entire image panel in sparkles. And then I had glittery embossing powder all over my craft table and my lap too, just like old times!
Next up is the Paper Players challenge:
I always think of cherry blossoms first when it comes to spring flowers, and even though the stamp set I used is called Butterfly Wishes, it looks like I've never used the butterflies, just the flower and sentiments. Ha!

And here's another view of the Iridescent Ice embossing powder:
I think embossing powder can actually "expire"...once it gets to a certain age, it seems like it doesn't work quite the way it did when it was new. My black embossing powder now melts flat and matte instead of being raised and shiny, and the Iridescent Ice seems a little more rough than it used to. I dearly loved Iridescent Ice and I was so sad when it retired, so it was fun to play with it again even though I ended up glittering everything in a 10-foot radius.
Anyway, Daph is getting antsy for her walk so I'm out. Peace!
