Mornin' y'all! While I had ideas for cards yesterday, I also decided that it was the perfect day to watch Raiders of the Lost Ark and work on my current stitching project : ) I had just listened to The Soundtrack Show podcasts about the music from Raiders and couldn't resist watching the movie again. I do love Indiana Jones and Daphne watched with me, so I'm pretty sure I am stitching some of her hair into my project but that just gives it extra character.
Anyway, I did also make a couple of cards, including one to share today:
This one came together super quickly too, I had the DSP scrap and the strip of gold foil already in my stash and making the tag took hardly any time at all. I think what took the longest was figuring out the ribbon and gold twine to top the tag and even that didn't take very long. I used this week's Freshly Made Sketch:
And the most recent Color Hues challenge:
I think I need to revisit this one and do a Baylor bears card :) I used all Shy Shamrock for my green, with ink, cardstock, and DSP, and I have four gold items: gold foil paper, gold ribbon, gold cord, and gold dots. I think I hit the mark on this one, ha!
The other card I made is for a future Nancy Drew challenge and I really like it. I have been speeding through the books so I'm trying to catch up with making my cards and I'm already a couple of weeks ahead, I love doing that. Another thing I love? I *finally* got Ryan interested in watching Star Wars with me. We're partway through Empire Strikes Back right now and he wants to watch even if we only have 10-15 minutes. Not my favorite way to watch a movie, but at least he's interested...it only took nine years!
Just finished my tea and I think Daphne knows that, she's starting to nose at me to take her for a walk. Cheers!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Lucky Clover
Ink: Shy Shamrock
Paper: Shy Shamrock, Thick Basic White, gold foil, Shy Shamrock DSP
Accessories: Merriest Trees dies, Dimensionals, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, gold cord, Gold Textured Dots

Raiders is one of my favorite movies, even though there are a few really scary parts, LOL! Your shamrock is super-duper cute, especially with the gold accent!
Don't you just love cards that come together so quickly, and even more so when you already have some of the parts ready to go too?! This card was meant to be Christy and we appreciate you sharing it with us at Color Hues!! Marcia (DT) :0)
Isn't it great when you already have elements for your card ready to go! And perfect for the two challenges as well! Thanks for sharing with us at Color Hues!
Oh I do love a monochromatic card, and this one is such a lovely green too! The hints of gold are the perfect finishing touch. Original Star Wars movies are the best - I think it's the childhood nostalgia that makes them my favourites, even though the special effects in the newer ones are amazing! Always nice to have company for a movie :-)
Darling tag and card, Christy! I really love the pattern in the shamrock stamp too! Thanks for joining us at Color Hues.
