Inconceivable!

Woohoo it's Friday!  I think I'm going to need a nap today.  Ryan woke up screaming twice last night so it was not a restful night for anyone in the house :p

But I have something fun today!  I love this challenge from As You See It:

You may have figured out my movie just from my blog post title :)  After all, it is one of the best, and most quotable, movies ever IMHO...The Princess Bride!

And did you know there are Princess Bride STAMPS???  This stamp set is called As You Wish and it's made by The Ink Road.  Y'all know I'm 99.5% SUO, but I couldn't resist The Princess Bride.  The set has quite a few quotes (though there's a misplaced comma in the Miracle Man quote), but I had to pick what might be the most famous quote for this card, and the response on the inside:

I think a runner-up for most famous quote is "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya.  You killed my father.  Prepare to die!"

Anyway, my colors were inspired by the movie too, Real Red for Buttercup's dress, black for Westley as The Man In Black, and So Saffron (with Crushed Curry ink) for Buttercup's blonde hair.  I thought the wine glasses during the battle of wits might have been gold, but nope, they're pewter.

All of the images in the stamp set are pretty tiny, which fit well with the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch:

This is not my first Princess Bride-inspired card, either; check out THIS ONE

So, I have Princess Bride stamps; I have some Star Wars stamps; I have assorted Disney stamps.  What I need now is Ghostbusters stamps!  That's the other most-quotable movie in my collection :)  Ryan asked to watch it earlier this week, and all the parts that I used to hide behind the couch because I was scared are the parts that he thinks are funny and wants to watch several times.  He ain't afraid of no ghosts.

Anyway, I need to get me some breakfast.  Cheers, y'all!  Maybe I can convince Ryan to give The Princess Bride a shot this weekend...

Oh, I'm so glad someone decided to do this movie for our challenge! Sometimes at our house, we'll go on for a good five minutes with quotes from the movie! My favourite is: "No more rhymes and I mean it!" "Anybody want a peanut?" Your card is a great representation! I think I might have to get those stamps! Thanks for playing along with us at As You See It Challenges!

I am going to have to watch this movie again...I know there is a whole cult following, but it has escaped me, LOL! Meanwhile, your card is fun and I love how you interpreted the colors to the scene! Thanks for playing with our fun challenge this week!
