SUO Challenges: All Things Autumn
Another favorite: it's SUO Challenges day!
Our theme this time is to make fall cards. Fall is my favorite season so you know I was all over this :)
I ended up with an autumn rainbow here and I love it. I picked a pretty plaid from the Plaid Tidings DSP Stack and then chose some warm colors that I thought would pop on the plaid, so altogether my card has Bumblebee, Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Cider, Cherry Cobbler, Pretty Peacock, and Shaded Spruce on it. Once again I turned to my trusty catalog for inspiration, take a look at page 55 for the original card.
Your turn! Upload a fall card on the SUO Challenges blog, and enjoy something pumpkiny if that's your thang (iced pumpkin coffee cake, here I come!). Cheers, y'all!

Tennessee, Part 6: Gatlinburg
I love that Color Me Autumn DSP so it was fun to use so many of its patterns on the Tennessee pages. These last two layouts are heavy on the green and gold for all us Baylor peeps :)
We took a gondola ride up to Ober Gatlinburg, which is a little touristy area up on top of the mountain where they have a bunch of rides and stuff. Spoiler alert: when we returned to Gatlinburg this July, Ryan was tall enough to ride the alpine roller coaster (bottom left), and I bought a picture because it was his very first roller coaster ride. He laughed maniacally the whole time and kept yelling "Let's go faster!" Speed demon, that kid.
So here is today's Baylor-y color palette: Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Shaded Spruce, Crushed Curry, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla. I had tried to work in some Cajun Craze but it just didn't seem to fit on these two layouts, so I stuck with these colors.
I really enjoyed putting together all these Tennessee layouts (all EIGHT of them), and I'm looking forward to scrapping the pictures from our July trip with the hubs' sister and her family. Ryan and the hubs saw one bear during this trip, but on the July trip I think we saw at least one bear every day, they were everywhere. And we got pictures! From a safe distance. We kept social distancing in mind even when hanging out with bears.
Sic 'em Bears! :D

SUO Challenges: Birthday Party
We've got a super easy one for you this time: make a birthday card! I think the only thing I make more often than birthday cards is thank you cards :) Today also happens to be my friend Melissa's birthday, we've been friends since we were in middle school. Happy birthday, Melissa!
Here's my zany little card:
I just can't seem to make myself do plain black and white zebras :) I stamped them in Blackberry Bliss ink on top of the Artistry Blooms DSP, which is probably the easiest way to get some fantastic color on these zebra friends. My glimmer paper and enamel dot embellishments are retired, but there are some great options in the current catalog that would be easy subs for what I used (I'm trying to use up what I've got).
You know what's next! Make a birthday card and share it with us at the SUO Challenges blog. We'll be waiting with cake ;)

Tennessee, Part 5: Tennessee Thanksgiving
I used Taken with Teal for the page base; I love a deep blue page base when I make fall pages because it makes the warm fall colors really pop. (Plus I just really like Taken with Teal.) I still used For All Things for a stamped accent, but just to be different I used the wheat sheaf instead of the big leaf. That year, Thanksgiving fell on Bennet's birthday, so we had birthday cake in addition to the traditional Turkey Day desserts.
Today's super fun color palette: Taken with Teal, Lucky Limeade, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, and Very Vanilla.
Cheers, y'all!

Tennessee, Part 4: Ripley's Aquarium
I still used the Color Me Autumn DSP for these two layouts, happily the Mossy Meadow pattern looked enough like bubbles to work for aquarium pages. And I still used orange, but I went for the much softer Peach Parfait.
As you can see, I'm back to squeezing in as many pictures as I can manage :)
Today's color palette: Peach Parfait, Mossy Meadow (the only color that overlaps with the rest of the Tennessee layouts), Bermuda Bay, Gorgeous Grape, Basic Gray, and Whisper White. Hey, I got to use a purple on my scrapbook pages! Also, I wish Seaside Notions had a set of dies because I cut those out all. the. time.
Cheers, y'all!

Ryan: Last Page
For this one, I picked some of my favorite pictures. The top one is our first family photo, the bottom two are ones that I loved but for one reason or another couldn't fit in on other pages in the book, so I'm glad I managed to find a place for them. As I'm sure you can imagine, we took ZILLIONS of photos of Ryan's first year, so deciding which ones to use in his baby book was sometimes difficult because he's so stinkin' cute.
The last color palette for Ryan's baby book is a bit different than the first page, although I used the same cardstock base and DSP: Lost Lagoon, Wild Wasabi, Hello Honey, Gray Granite, Midnight Muse, and Whisper White.
That's a wrap!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Foxy Friends
Ink: Gray Granite, Memento Tuxedo Black
Paper: Lost Lagoon, Midnight Muse, Thick Whisper White, Lullaby & Woodland Walk DSP
Accessories: 2 1/2" circle punch, Starburst dies

Guten Tag!
I'm so glad I bought the Chase Your Dreams stamp set even though it was only out for a hot minute before it retired. The castle is Neuschwanstein in Bavaria and was Walt Disney's inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland. It was also the first castle I ever visited in Europe :)
All our household goods are set to arrive next Monday, and after that I don't know how long it will take for our internet to be hooked up (I'm typing this at our hotel room as we'll get to the house later today). Hopefully it won't be too long before I can start stamping again, I've missed it. I've been stitching a lot, so at least I have some creative outlet.
Have a great day, peeps!
