Paper Players Taco 'Bout Food & Drink

It's a rainy Sunday here in southern Germany, but that won't stop the fun at the Paper Players!  Check out the latest challenge from Anne Marie:

I have LOTS of stamps that fit this theme and I bet you do too.  Honestly, I had a card all made and ready to go for this challenge, I really like it and it uses a brand new stamp set, and then I found a retired stamp set when I was looking for something else and this happened:

Y'all know I love a good pun, so of course I bought Witty-cisms ;)  I just could not resist making a card with this cute taco (who knew tacos could be cute?!).  I swear that Sunshine & Rainbows DSP stack from the last Sale-a-Bration is the paper that just keeps giving--those two patterns make me think of Taco Bell, haha!  That is hands down Ryan's favorite place to eat out.  The Just Add Ink sketch was perfect for this awesome taco:

So what about the first card I made for this challenge?  Well, it fits the requirements for a future challenge so I'm holding onto it until then.  I have enough food and drink stamps that I could probably make cards for several weeks without repeating a stamp.  Have fun with the challenge and don't forget to link up at the Paper Players blog!

Going for the Green

It's Friday the 13th!  Let's all have good luck today, how's that sound?  :)  And I'll start off the day with a supergreen card!

I love The Fifth Element :) and here's my card!

AHHHH I love that lizard and his derpy little face!  He's from The Gang's All Meer.  I wasn't sure what to do with the little horizontal strip on this week's Freshly Made Sketch until I decided to perch a lizard on it:

And here's the green and more green color challenge from Color Throwdown:

I used Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover for my greens; I've got a scrapbook layout 90% finished in similar colors.

I'm off to get ready for yoga...after being sick at the start of the week, I've been taking it easy so this is my only workout for the whole week.  I'll be starting back up again next week.  Cheers, y'all!

Chinchillin' Like a Villain

Happy Friday, y'all!  Hope you've had a good week.  I got a scrapbook layout finished yesterday and then had time to make a quick card with a new stamp set!

I love Witty-cisms from the Occasions catalog!  I loves me a good pun :)  This is a great all-occasion stamp set too, with stuff for graduation, retirement, baby, thank you, and more.  But I decided to start with this chinchilla after seeing the Fusion challenge:

I used a critter stamp and the colors of brown (Crumb Cake), yellow (Pineapple Punch), and green (Call Me Clover).  I colored with Stampin' Blends and voila!  Quick card.  I stamped a small flower from Free as a Bird on the Pineapple Punch stripe because of the flower in the inspiration pic.

Check out the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch:

Brian King talked about how his card was an optical illusion; all three stripes were the same height, but the middle stripe looked much shorter than the top and bottom.  Well, my yellow stripe is actually 1/4 inch TALLER than the green stripes, and it still looks shorter!  Weird, huh?

Okay, Ryan and I have an errand to run and then we're off to the Y.  I never miss yoga day if I can help it!  Cheers!
