Scrappy Monday, y'all! I hope you mamas out there got to have a great day yesterday. The hubs made us waffles for breakfast (with strawberries and whipped cream), we all took Daph-Daph out for a walk, and in the afternoon we went to see Thunderbolts* and had an early dinner at Chuy's. Plus I did get to make one card in between other activities so it was a pretty awesome day : )
Anyway, I'm back with a Scrappy Monday post! Check it out:
We've got DINOSAURS! There was a big park near where we lived in Germany that all the Americans call the dino park because it's got life-size dinosaur statues. It also has a huge playground and large grounds including a creek to play in, a skate park, a snack shack, and other stuff so it's pretty cool. So on the left we have some pics of Ryan's April boo-boo healing (it is now the scar that he frequently uses as his topic when he has to write life stories at school) and the right side is pics from the dino park and of *course* I had to go with dinosaurs for the theme. Dino Days stamps and Dinoroar DSP to the rescue!
The colors are mostly taken from the DSP: Mango Melody, Pool Party, Sweet Sorbet, Old Olive, Dapper Denim, and white. The DSP pack has Melon Mambo in it, but I used Sweet Sorbet to match Ryan's balloon and the DSP patterns I chose didn't have any pink/red so that was an easy swap. Actually I think the DSP has Island Indigo in it, but the Dapper Denim matched the photos better and the blue bits on the DSP are small enough that I think the color difference is negligible.
Got lots to do today after I get Ryan off to school, like grocery shopping and laundry and vacuuming and all that fun stuff so I'd better get to it. Have a great week, peeps!
