Happy Sunday, y'all! Are you ready for a fun new Paper Players challenge? I hope so, because it's coming at you right...now!
This fun theme is brought to us by the lovely Claire and it was all the excuse I needed to ink up a set of Lawn Fawn stamps for my card:
I need to show this to my kiddo, he loves birds. Anyway, I knew right off that I wanted to use a very, very old DSP pack called Sweet & Sour, which is that multicolored polka dot pattern (a quick Google search seems to indicate that this DSP is from 2011!). I colored in my three costumed pals and put them on a circle of Granny Apple Green pattern so they'd stand out against all that pink and orange. This is the first card I managed to make after my appendectomy surgery--it's been about 10 days and I still spend most of my time sleeping! But I could NOT let Claire's challenge pass me by.
I hope you'll join in the fun and post your Halloween costume card at the Paper Players blog. Don't forget to check out the fun creations my teamies made, too! Lots of eye candy for your virtual trick-or-treat activities.

You nailed it, for cute-ness, Christy! Love those fun colorful critters!
So cute, Christy! The foxy cupcake is adorable. The little chicks remind me of Peeps. I remember this paper! What a perfect choice for your card! Have a wonderful week!
Christy, this is so cute! I love the polka dot background and these little costumes are the cutest. Your trio brought a smile to my face. You made my challenge shine! Have a great week, My Friend!
Super cute animals, which I think is a clever way to look at the challenge. Looking at your other posts, it looks like you've been cooking up quite a storm of Halloween related things. I particularly like your witch in search of candy. :-)
Animals dressed as baked goods - what could be cuter?! So glad you managed to play along with this challenge Christy; given your love of the spooky season it would have been a shame to have missed it, although I am loving the plethora of Halloween cards you are sharing this month! That background DSP is so perfect to coordinate colour-wise too - such a sweet card! Hoping you are continuing to recover well from your surgery - make sure you take it easy!
I confess that I don't recognize this paper, but it sure looks cute with these little guys! Yummy-sweet! Rest up from your surgery!
This is such a sweet Halloween card, Christy. I love the cute critters (Lawn Fawn has the cutest stuff, I swear) and the fun "vintage" paper in the background. I had a scroll through your blog - you've made a lot of great Halloween cards! Take care and get your rest!
Christy, hope you are feeling much better and getting stronger every day! I loved visiting each of your Halloween cards and scrapbook layouts on my way to this card! It was wonderful seeing so many different variations on a theme, and all of them were fabulous! This one is no exception. Your background DSP reminds me of shirts I saw in the 60s and the pink, yellow and orange also took me back there! The black mat brings all of these colors together and highlights your little critters stamped in black. Seriously, the fox with the cherry on his head is absolutely hysterical! Love it
hugs
