Mornin' y'all! I did successfully complete my first workout in months yesterday morning and I am pretty sore today so I will admit that I am putting it off a little bit by writing my blog post first today : ) And I'm continuing my pumpkin collection for this week:
I got Paisley Prints off of eBay or a Facebook BST group about three years ago and I wonder why I didn't just get it when it was in the catalog but it doesn't matter since I have it now. I wanted to make something for last week's Inspired By... Challenge:
I used Soft Succulent, Peach Pie, and Cajun Craze for my colors and I thought I could work in the As You See It recipe challenge too:
If you're wondering where the gingham or check is, it's on the Cajun Craze layer--I inked up the background stamp with a sponge so it would be a bit lighter and I'm not sure it shows up in the picture but I promise it's there. The hardest part of this was the ribbon or twine element because it turns out that I don't have any ribbon or twine in any of the colors I was using and now I'm in a bit of a snit because I really thought I had Cajun Craze *something* but apparently not. Eventually I went with some Pumpkin Pie twine but I'm not sure I like it, though it is in between the other two orange colors.
Okay y'all, I've got to show Ryan how to do frog jumps and then it's time for my workout. Cheers!

So cute, Christy - love this little paisley guy, lol. I recently discovered a set that I have no idea why I didn't get it last year, either, lol. Thank goodness for ebay! LOVE these shapes and fun details - perfect! Thanks so much for playing at As You See It!
Nice combination of challenges, Christy. I like the layout of your design, since it draws the eye in to the centre so well. The colours you've chosen are really pretty. I think the inclusion of the Soft Succulent is brilliant but the best thing is the super way you've threaded the twine: an idea I'll to tuck away for future use. :-)
And, of course, thank you for playing along with us at As You See It. :-)
