Y'all, it definitely feels like spring here. I went for my first run in, like, forever last night and the weather was SO FABULOUS I wanted to stay out twice as long. And I hate running! Srsly though, I did a lot better than I expected to on that run, but thanks to that and going to the gym for the first time post-baby on Monday, I'm pretty sore. And also craving chocolate.
Okay, back to spring thoughts! (Does Easter candy count as a spring thought?)
Here are the tulip pages I promised on Monday!
Closeup of the quote stamp, which is totally apropos for the layout and also fit nicely in the stripes on the patterned paper, which makes me happy.
I did two tulip layouts (say "two tulips" five times fast) and I still had a bunch of printed photos I didn't use...and tons more that I didn't print, I think I took about 200 or so flower pics on this day.
Same color palette as last time: Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, Blackberry Bliss, and Whisper White.
On a totally unrelated note, I'm getting really good at typing one-handed, but the squirt is starting to cry so once again I go to change a diaper. Cheers!
Supplies, all SU!
Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Ink: Pacific Point
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Blackberry Bliss, Rose Red, Whisper White, Painted Blooms DSP
Accessories: None

Friday Flashback: A Word for You
Hello and welcome to today's very late Friday Flashback! It was a crazy day today, we're trying to get our dogs' travel arrangements worked out since we're moving from England back to the States in a few months. It's a mess. But anyway, I have a long flashback today featuring the sentiment stamp set A Word for You. So let's get started!
Here's a fun, bright anniversary card...
One for baby boy...
...and one for baby girl....
And another boy. Of all the pregnant or recently pregnant ladies I know, and that's a LOT, there's only one girl in the bunch! What's up with that?
Some nice fall leaves...
...and another anniversary, this time at the Eiffel Tower.
This card makes sense if you're a big Friends fan and know about Phoebe and the lobster theory.
And we'll finish up the flashback with yet another anniversary card, this one for the perfect pear.
So here's today's new card:
Ok, I cheated since I just used this punch art cupcake on Wednesday, but it was perfect with this sentiment stamp too! I also used a very old Splitcoast color challenge on this (I have less than a dozen to do before I'm caught up!) and this week's Retro Sketch:
It's been a long day involving six hours in the car for a round trip to Heathrow Airport, so that's all she wrote today. Have a good weekend, peeps!
Supplies, last card only:
Stamps: A Word for You
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss, Melon Mambo
Paper: So Saffron, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, retired DSP in So Saffron, Melon Mambo, and Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Cupcake builder punch, hexagon punch (to do the flagged ends on the sentiment), Dimensionals

Sunshine Florets
The day is upon me...comprehensive exam day. I'm hoping that I do well enough on this test that I'll pass it all in one go and not have to take it again in March. Today I've got a sunny cheery card that hopefully will send me some positive vibes while I type my little hands off on four giant essay questions.
I hope that today is sunny wherever you are, friends! Thanks for stopping by today.

Tangerine Dream
No Friday Flashback today...I spent part of the day finishing an essay for a class, and then kinda got knocked out by a headache and never did get a Flashback post written. But I can't leave you cardless, so here's one I made a little while back. Enjoy!
I love bright colors, I really do. Get out your sunglasses!
This was for a color challenge on SCS, to use Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White. I added the black in there because I think it provides a great contrast with the two bright colors. Whaddya think?
Thanks for stopping by today!

Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Petite Pairs
Ink: Lucky Limeade, Tangerine Tango, StazOn Black

Seize the Birthday!
I finally did a Seize the Birthday challenge on time! And I like my card pretty well, lookie:
I was inspired to grab Fabulous Florets by this beautiful card by Marleygo that I saw last week on Splitcoast, though I'm not sure I'd consider this an out-and-out CASE. Still, she did inspire me so I wanted to give credit. And hey look, two cards in a row with the Top Note die! Just a coincidence; this week's Seize the Birthday sketch also featured it:
Ok, so I did alter the sketch slightly to make it a standard A2 card instead of square, but the rest of the sketch is pretty spot-on. And I didn't add brads to yesterday's card, but this time I did. It seemed to need a bit more Daffodil Delight on that side. The fun and sunny color combo is from Create with Connie and Mary:
Glad I got a new pack of Melon Mambo cardstock, what with the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP I used quite a bit of Melon Mambo making swaps a while back. That's okay though, bright colors cheer me up, especially when we've had a lot of overcast skies here lately. It keeps trying to snow but doesn't get very far, but it's still cold, so I drink a lot of tea ;)
Happy Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!
Supplies (all SU!):
Stamps: Fabulous Florets, Curly Cute (seriously, what did I do before I got this stamp set?)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Melon Mambo, Basic Gray, Whisper White, Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP
Accessories: Top Note die, Brights brads
