The Berry Best

Mornin' y'all!  Daphne thought it would be fun to make me get up at 5:20 this morning to let her out, and that was so much fun she did it again at 5:45.  Some days, she's lucky she's cute : p  So I'm going to need to put the kettle on and get some tea to wake up.

In the meantime, I have a card to share today:

This is another instance of Just Use The Paper, and today's pack is Homemade Sweetness.  I got just the DSP and the embellishments, not any of the stamps, and I think this suite hit the clearance rack this week.  Anyway, I do like cutting the images out of this paper and I cut into several patterns for this week's Atlantic Hearts Sketch:

Now I need to get Ryan ready to go for his last day at farm camp.  He's had fun this week with ducks, chickens, goats, donkeys, horses, cows, and even a yak.  Who knew they had a yak?!  He'll be going back there later this summer for horse camp and let's be honest, *I* wanna do that one!  Cheers, y'all.

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Berry Blessings
Ink:  Granny Apple Green
Paper:  Granny Apple Green, Misty Moonlight, Thick Basic White, Homemade Sweetness DSP
Accessories:  Layering Circles dies, Textured Notes dies, Dimensionals, Strawberries & Dots Embellishments

Pink Strawberry

Mornin' y'all!  How's your week going?  Today I have yet another card that I made in my marathon session last Friday, take a look:

I was all set to make a cupcake card for the TGIF inspiration challenge:

And then I came across that Berry Delightful DSP in my stash and I just *had* to use it instead.  I liked how the watercolor style of the patterned paper coordinates with the artwork style on the inspo pic and I had never cut into that strawberry pattern before, so I had to use it.  One stamped pink strawberry and a greeting and I have a berry cute card!  I really do like this DSP pack, it's got some really pretty berry-based patterns in it.

Anyway, that's it for me today.  Have a berry good day, y'all!

Tennessee, Part 5: Crockett's Breakfast Camp

Scrappy Monday and let's roll right on to the last of the Tennessee layouts!

It seems like I rarely get to use purples on my scrapbook pages so I'm always excited when I can incorporate them.  My excuse this time was the picture of my French toast, which had blueberries (I think?) on it and enough purple in the picture to go for a Fresh Freesia page base.  So we all stuffed ourselves silly on the world's largest cinnamon rolls, and then took the kiddoos on a short hike in the national park to get the wiggles out before we hit the road back to North Carolina.  Hey, Ryan was 3 in these pictures and he still has a Captain America shirt like that.  I think I just buy it every time he goes up in size.

Today's berry-inspired color palette:  Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry, Garden Green, Pretty Peacock, Blueberry Bushel, and white.  I'm glad to have Fresh Freesia in the permanent color lineup, and I've got enough Rich Razzleberry cardstock hoarded that I can pair them up on scrapbook pages whenever I want.

Cheers, y'all!

Berry Pair

Mornin' y'all!  How's your week going?  I have a pair of cards to share today :)

I promise that mark in the upper left corner isn't on the card itself, it's a shadow from my window screen that I didn't notice until I was editing these pictures on the computer.

See, this one has it too.  I never got a chance to play with the Berry Blessings stamp set during Sale-a-Bration, so I was happy to see this week's Paper Players challenge as it gave me an excellent excuse to ink it up after all this time:

Both of these cards are already in the mail on their way to their recipients :)  The shadow on the pictures kinda bugged me, so I did take another set of pictures, but the color in the first set of pics was more true-to-life.  Anywha, here's the other pics:

I fussy-cut the blackberry and leaves; the leaves are glued on the white panel and the blackberry is popped up on top.  Also I know the sentiment looks black but it's actually stamped in Shaded Spruce.

I stamped out some raspberries to put on this card, but after I cut the sentiment out it just didn't need any more raspberries.  So I added a mat on the sentiment and a few retired Glitter Enamel Dots because I love those things and I have a ton of them.  I also have two packs of that Berry Delightful DSP and I love it.  I'll probably be hoarding it for scrapbook layouts.

Have a great day, peeps!
