Snowdeer

Hey y'all, how's your Sunday going?  I got up this morning and made gingerbread muffins for breakfast and then I went back to bed for a while.  I'm just tired today.

Quick card to share today using more of the Reindeer Days DSP:

I had some scraps on my table after the last couple of cards and that's where this one came from.  The only stamping is the greeting.  I used the Inspire. Create. sketch:

Though I should have reversed the panels because I put the wider one on the left instead of the right.

That's it for me today, peeps.  Daphne murdered a stuffie this morning so I need to go pick up the crime scene : )  Rather her do that than chew on the furniture, so it's okay.  Cheers!

Jingle Bells Rock

Mornin', y'all.  I'm going to have to type fast as we need to leave in about 10 minutes if I can get Ryan to get moving.  He's started doing this thing lately when he's supposed to be getting ready for school or getting ready for bed where he just dillydallies and wastes time and it's getting very frustrating.  He spent 20 minutes goofing off in the bathroom last night instead of brushing his teeth so he didn't get books.  Ugh.

Anyway, here's my card for today:

I still had the Holly Berry Bouquet DSP on my craft table when I saw this TGIF Challenges sketch:

I had a bunch of 1-inch squares of the holly pattern already cut out, I don't remember why, so I thought they'd be a good starting point for the sketch.  I cut a couple more squares out in the red pattern and found a scrap of Wild Wasabi DSP, then used the retired postage stamp punch to punch out frames for the squares.  The jingle bells image is from Reindeer Fun, I thought it was nice to focus on a smaller image that isn't the reindeer for this card.

That's it for me today, peeps.  I'm off to take Ryan to school and then go mail off our Christmas cards and one package, and go to the store because the hubs asked me to make one batch of cookies for a potluck at work on Friday.  Naturally, I picked out two cookie recipes and possibly two bar recipes because I am who I am.  I'll be mixing up cookie dough this afternoon to bake tomorrow.  Cheers!

Cheerful Reindeer

Mornin' y'all!  I'm squeezing in a quick blog post before I get in the kitchen and start the whirlwind of Thanksgiving prep.  On the menu today are pumpkin praline pie, pecan pie, creamy lemon pie, and cherry pie filling.  Maybe something else, I'm not looking at my list right now : )

But first, a quick card!

Check out the speed stamping challenge from As You See It:

I chose a pattern from the Reindeer Days DSP with trees on it and planned out my card from there.  The main reindeer is from another print and didn't cut out quite straight but I was in a hurry.  Here's my final time:

Add in the TGIF Challenges technique:

I was thinking of these two cards I made earlier this month since they both featured tearing for an Atlantic Hearts sketch and that's a quick thing to add to a card.  And I managed to hit quite a few elements in the Festive Friday challenge:

I got red, green, gold, embossing, trees, and Christmas sentiment--pretty good for under 10 minutes!  Of course, here's what my table looked like in the craftermath:

Might have taken me longer to clean up my table than it did to make the card : )

Okay, we have a plumber on the way to look at the pipes leading up to the shower so I'm going to take Daphne for a walk while he's here (the hubs can deal with the plumber).  Then it's pie prep time!  Cheers, y'all!

Merry Reindeer

Okay, okay, I give.  I'll start making Christmas cards : )

I bought both the Reindeer Fun and Christmas Labels bundles a while back and this is the first card I've made with either of them.  Check out the beautiful inspiration challenge from Hand Stamped Sentiments:

I took something from each of the three sections:  the bright blue, deer (well, reindeer), and pink with snowflakes on it.  Who would have thought Azure Afternoon + Pretty in Pink + Pecan Pie = Christmas card?  But I like how it turned out.

That's it for me today, peeps.  Think I need to make some more fall creations while I still can.  Cheers!
