Stay Cool, Popsicle

Mornin' y'all!  Happy Friday!  I didn't get much time in my craft room yesterday since I was out at the soccer fields all morning, but I did make a card to share today:

I just discovered that I've only used Sweet Ice Cream ONE TIME before this, how is that possible?!  It's so cute!  Anyway, check out the Retro Rubber Challenges sketch:

Sweet Ice Cream is 4 years old, and the greeting is from a Paper Pumpkin kit and who knows how old that is, but I'm sure it's over a year.  I really wasn't sure what to do with this sketch until the Inspired By... challenge popped up yesterday:

And I thought YESSSS I can work with that!  The coaches gave all the kids these popsicles yesterday at soccer practice only they called them Otter Pops, not freezies or popsicles.  Maybe that's one of those regional things as to what they're called?  Anyway, I liked the bright colors and the icy theme so I went with Azure Afternoon, Strawberry Slush, Peach Pie, and Gorgeous Grape for my colors.

We get to have a nice, leisurely morning today and Ryan's only activity is a baseball game in the late afternoon.  Need to take Daphne for a walk and go to the grocery store though and I should be getting multiple Nancy Drew books in the mail today : )  Hoping I get to do some crafting today and I need to mail out my dad's Father's Day card.  Cheers!

Birthday Popsicles

Hey hey hey, happy Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?

I have another CAS card to share today.  I've really been getting into a CAS groove with my personal Friday Flashback project :) But for today's card, I finally inked up a new stamp set I got probably a couple months ago.

My original plan had been to just do the "You're so cool" sentiment, but I added the "Happy Birthday" to cover up how I managed to NOT line up the top and bottom of both popsicles :p  I didn't do anything fancy at all on this card; I stamped both parts of the popsicle with the same color and got color variation just by how they overlapped.  Next time I might try multicolored popsicles.  And I continue my love affair with Polished Pink, haha!

Check out the Paper Players challenge:

I got a pack of popsicles last weekend for Ryan and he is ALL about getting a popsicle for dessert every night :)

Have a good weekend, peeps!
