Snowed In

Scrappy Monday, y'all!  I know it's March and here I am sharing a scrapbook layout all about snow, but we actually got a couple inches of snow just last Friday.  Of course it all melted on the same day but I guess I have snow on the brain, so check this out:

This is from the first time we got a heavy snow in England; pictures here.

Hey look, I did a close-up so if you want to read the journaling you don't have to squint :)  I decided to go big and bold for the snowflakes on this layout...it turns out I've got like 20 sheets of that snowflake print which isn't a bad thing because I love it.  I looked through all my snowflake stamps and liked Festive Flurry the best with the snowflakes on the paper, and then for one more snowflake element I cut out a snowflake shape with my Framelits and then put a cropped picture of my little Sadie Belle inside it.

My color palette for today:  Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White.  Once again I must thank my Color Coach and lament its retirement; I would have never put Island Indigo and Baja Breeze together on my own, but when you add some Rich Razzleberry it's one of my favorite color combinations for snowy layouts.  I've even used it in a couple of baby books.

That's it for me today, kids.  I'm off to the gym.  Cheers, peeps!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Festive Flurry, Notable Alphabet
Ink:  Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry
Paper:  Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Ski Slope DSP
