Sweet Boo

Midnight greetings, ghoul friends!  When we got home from our road trip last Saturday, I had several new stamp sets and dies in the mail, woo!  Or should I say boo?  I pulled one of the new stamp sets from Unity out to play with tonight, here's a card using {BOO} to You:

And I made this for the Just Us Girls mood board challenge:

I love this style of ghost artwork, I think it's sweet.  I couldn't think of anything in my stash to mimic the texture of the cable knit sweater, so I pulled out a cozy plaid from the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP that I had never cut into before because it's time to stop hoarding.

And once again, this fits in the Color Hues Challenge:

I think the DSP had hues of Tangerine Tango and More Mustard in it, but I color-matched that particular plaid to Peach Pie and Timid Tiger.  And while the pumpkin isn't the focus of this card, there is still a pumpkin on there for the fifth pumpkin card in a row.  And I still have lots more pumpkins to ink up.

Stay spooky, friends!

Supplies:
Stamps:  {BOO} to You from Unity Stamps
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Stampin' blends in Timid Tiger, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Ivory
Paper:  Timid Tiger, Peach Pie, Basic White, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP
Accessories:  Nested Essentials dies, Monster Bash Enamel Shapes, Dimensionals

Paisley Pumpkin

Mornin' y'all!  I did successfully complete my first workout in months yesterday morning and I am pretty sore today so I will admit that I am putting it off a little bit by writing my blog post first  today : )  And I'm continuing my pumpkin collection for this week:

I got Paisley Prints off of eBay or a Facebook BST group about three years ago and I wonder why I didn't just get it when it was in the catalog but it doesn't matter since I have it now.  I wanted to make something for last week's Inspired By... Challenge:

I used Soft Succulent, Peach Pie, and Cajun Craze for my colors and I thought I could work in the As You See It recipe challenge too:

If you're wondering where the gingham or check is, it's on the Cajun Craze layer--I inked up the background stamp with a sponge so it would be a bit lighter and I'm not sure it shows up in the picture but I promise it's there.  The hardest part of this was the ribbon or twine element because it turns out that I don't have any ribbon or twine in any of the colors I was using and now I'm in a bit of a snit because I really thought I had Cajun Craze *something* but apparently not.  Eventually I went with some Pumpkin Pie twine but I'm not sure I like it, though it is in between the other two orange colors.

Okay y'all, I've got to show Ryan how to do frog jumps and then it's time for my workout.  Cheers!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Paisley Prints, For All Things, Buffalo Check
Ink:  Peach Pie, Cajun Craze, Soft Succulent

Witchy Jack

Midnight greetings, ghoul friends!  Apparently it is pumpkin week here at Snapdragon Stamps because I have another one:

I used the Color Dare Challenge this time:

I read it as Night of Navy and maybe something between Pumpkin Pie and Mango Melody so I used both oranges.  For the jack, I inked him up in Mango Melody and then added some Pumpkin Pie ink with a sponge dauber.  I promise the hat really is blue, unfortunately I had to take my photo after dark so the color isn't quite as true to life as it could be.  I'm also linking up at Inkspirational:

The optional twist is plaid which of course made me think of the retired Plaid Tidings DSP Stack that I dearly love as I always love a good plaid, and that's also what drove me to do both colors of orange.  I found that bitty scrap of the plaid and thought it would work well for a CAS card, and I trimmed another scrap of Pumpkin Pie polka dots to give my jack something to rest on.

Stay spooky, friends!

Happy Jack

Mornin' y'all!  We spent all of last week road trippin' through Colorado, Utah, and Arizona and got home on Saturday afternoon.  I haven't gone through the pictures yet (or even downloaded them onto the computer) but I will for sure share a few later this week.

For now, I did get in the warcraft room yesterday to make something:

This idea popped in my head when I saw last week's Freshly Made Sketch:

And of COURSE I had to use the classic Halloween duo at the Color Hues Challenge:

I did add some Crumb Cake for the pumpkin stem but that's a neutral so it's allowed.  I got Carved & Candlelit very early on in my stamping career and I still love to trot it out at least once every year, it might be over 20 years old but it's still great.

Okay, for the first time since July I'm going to try to do a workout since I think we finally got most of my fatigue issues mitigated (perimenopause sucks, y'all).  Wish me luck!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Carved & Candlelit, Fright Night
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake
Paper:  Pumpkin Pie, Basic White, Magic In This Night DSP

Pumpkin Tag

Midnight greetings, ghoul friends!  I'm back with another Halloween card to share:

Unusually for me, there is no stamping at all on this card.  I got one 12x12 sheet of Doodlebug Designs paper with a variety of tags on it, and a coordinating 6x6 paper pad and that's what I used.  The card base is Magenta Madness, I do like to work in pink for Halloween cards.  CAS on Friday wants to see a tag on your card, so this was the perfect opportunity to do that, and I also tied in the Addicted to CAS challenge:

This particular candy bucket pumpkin made me think of my current stitching project and that's why I had to use it.

Stay spooky, friends!

Ink:  None
Paper:  Magenta Madness, Doodlebug Designs

Autumn Anniversary with The Paper Players

Happy Sunday, y'all, which means it's time for a new Paper Players challenge!  I hope y'all enjoyed Jan's fun color combo last week, and that you're ready for Stef's Theme challenge coming right up:

Today happens to be my wedding anniversary!  Hubs and I have been married for 23 years now so I used this challenge to make an anniversary card for him:

I found a TON of already stamped and die cut leaves in the Love of Leaves stamp case when I made these cards a while back, so I chose three of them for today's card along with a little strip of the Painted Autumn DSP.  Oh look, there's two big leaves for me and the hubs, and a little leaf for Ryan!  It's almost like I planned it that way ; )  I wanted to add some bling but since it's CAS week, I managed to restrain myself.

Check out the other design team creations on the Paper Players blog, and you can hop through their individual blogs to leave some comments too:

A Little Brewhaha

Midnight greetings, ghoul friends!  For tonight's card, I got out two of my very favorite Halloween stamp sets but this time I wanted to let Just Between Fiends be the star of the show:

I stamped Agnes on the Old Olive card base and added some fun stripes from my favorite Cast-a-Spell DSP.  Not the first time I've combined these stamps and papers and I'm sure it won't be the last, I do love them together and they're all from very early in my stamping career.

Stay spooky, friends!
