Retiring: Cool Treats

Mornin', y'all!  How's it going for you today?  It's already been busy here...somehow the kiddo climbed up on our papasan chair and knocked the whole thing over, and how he's got a nice purple knot right in the middle of his forehead.  This kid is going to keep me busy.  I'd better find out where all the closest emergency rooms and urgent care places are, too.  I have a picture of kid playing in the bottom of the papasan chair after he knocked it over, but for some reason it won't upload.  I'll try again later.

But anyway!  On to stamps and card making.

Cool Treats is on the retiring list along with the matching Framelits.  And I used two retiring colors too, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.

Here's the sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping:

Which seemed to work pretty well with this week's Case the Designer challenge at Global Design Project:

I kept the food theme and the birthday sentiment (my card says Happy Birthday on the inside), and I used a similar color combination with Pool Party, Night of Navy, and my two retiring pinks.  I thought the sketch worked well with this challenge since they've both got small repeating elements.

Hope y'all have a great day.  Kiddo and I are off to Target!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Cool Treats
Ink:  Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Night of Navy (on the inside)
Paper:  Pool Party, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Thick Whisper White, Naturally Eclectic DSP
Accessories:  Frozen Treats Framelits, Large Numbers Framelits (banner), Glitter Enamel Shapes, Dimensionals

ETA:  So here's my climbing munchkin playing in the bottom of the chair about 10 minutes after he knocked it over.  He did cry, but more because he was scared when it fell over than because he was hurt (though he did have a knot on his forehead).

Oh my goodness -- he's a climber. Makes one crazy. I went into the play yard at Chick-Fil-A with Clara and she got into a tower. It had alternating semi-circular seats that alternated sides and it looked like you were to climb up on the lowest and then stand up and get yourself to the next level. She got in there and got on the first seat OK, but when she reached for the 2nd, I nearly freaked. I looked through the little window on the side and said, "No, Clara. Mimi cannot get in there and help you. Come on down." She minded, but she won't always. SCARED me! The distance between the seats was way too great for her size. Luckily she was the only one in there. I imagine you will have more little forehead knots in your future. I seem to remember one scar on a little lip that had stitches way back when. You can be RIGHT THERE and it will still happen, believe me.

I do like your card! Looks yummy!

Such a sweet trio! Love your inspiration from both of these challenges. Thanks for playing along with this week's GDP challenge!
