Retiring: Awesomely Artistic & One Big Meaning

Happy Friday, y'all!  As I promised yesterday, here's the card I was working on when I realized the color challenge I was trying to do called for Tranquil Tide, not Wild Wasabi.

I still like these colors together!  And all three are retiring.  Once again, I used Shimmery White paper for the background, then did a watercolor wash with Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder.  I dried it with my heat tool (impatient me) and then stamped the floral stamp from Awesomely Artistic on it.  The dragonfly is stamped on Shimmery White as well, but just in case it didn't shimmer *enough* I added some Wink of Stella.

The current SUO Challenge is all about flowers:

I do love that big flower stamp.  I'll miss Awesomely Artistic.

Next up is this week's Freshly Made Sketch:

Ryan just tried to sit on Vader's head.  Well, better Vader than Sadie...though to be fair Sadie would have run away before Ryan got close enough to try to sit on her head.  Vader is a patient dog!

That's it for me today, peeps.  Cheers!  And have a great weekend!

Supplies, all SU!
Stamps:  Awesomely Artistic, One Big Meaning
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder
Paper:  Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi, Wisteria Wonder, Shimmery White
Accessories:  Layering Circles Framelits, Dimensinoals, Wink of Stella

Ooo, I love this one, too. LOVE the color combo. I like butterflies better as dragon flies have always been very aggressive around me, but I do like to watch them and their shimmery wings.

Ryan is such a BOY. That is so funny about him trying to sit on Vader's head. Clara grabs her buddy's tail and follows him around as he walks away. It's not that they are being mean -- it's that they are trying to show their love and don't really know how to express it. You just have to tell Ryan to be NICE to Vader and pet Vader while you are telling him that. Then next time maybe he'll PET Vader instead of trying to sit on his head. Funny little man!!! LOVE THAT!

I adore these colours together too! I love the background stamping you've given your card and the sweet little dragonfly you've used. Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!

Love how you incorporated a bit of Mixed Media look into this card with stamping texture and patterns. Thank you so very much for joining us over at SUOChallenges.com! We have a new coloring challenge up today and would love to see your entry. Please excuse my lateness in commenting on your lovely entry, I couldn't see the InLinkz entries. We are working on that now.
